Obituary for Paul B. Ebersole Jr.

Paul B. Ebersole, Jr., 76, of Ephrata, passed away on Wednesday, October 26, 2022, at WellSpan Ephrata Community Hospital.

He was born in Lancaster County to Paul B., Sr., and Elton (Spotts) Ebersole and was the husband of Leta M. (Unangst) Ebersole with whom he would have celebrated 30 years of marriage December 10th.

Paul worked in the warehouse for Borders Books, as a metallurgist for TRW, and as a construction worker, among many other jobs. He enjoyed steam train engines, collecting stamps, and the Green Bay Packers. He was extremely well read, especially enjoying science fiction. Paul was a member of American Legion Post # 594, and was a former Scoutmaster.

In addition to his wife, Leta, Paul is survived by his son, David, husband of Wendy Ebersole; daughter, Allison J. Ebersole; step-son, Christopher Mink; step-daughter, Jodi L. Brown; ten grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren, and four siblings, Mildred, wife of Bob Walters, Michael, husband of Pat Ebersole, Jeffrey Ebersole, and Linda McConnell.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his biological mother, Martha Hoffer, and two sisters, Margaret Forrester, and Sharon Bankes.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, November 11th, 2022. Visitation starts at 5PM, and the service will be held at 6PM, at the Mt. Zion Baptist Church, 3 Denver Road, Denver, with Pastor Keith Sweitzer officiating. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
