Obituary for Michael E. Eckman
Michael E. Eckman, 54, of Akron, passed away on Saturday, June 25, 2022, at Wellspan York Hospital.
He was born in Lancaster to the late Charles Dewey Eckman, Sr., and the late Barbara (Diem) Cochenour. He adored his late wife Margaret Mary (Adams) Eckman who passed away in 2014.
Michael was a weigh master for Beck Aluminum Alloys. He was graduate of Warwick High School and was proud of his duty and service to his country serving in the US Army. Michael was an avid fisherman and enjoyed family time.
Michael is survived by two sons, Ed Adams and Benjamin J. Eckman, both of Akron, and a grandson, Zane E. Adams.
In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Chuck Eckman.
A viewing will be held on Friday, July 1, 2022, from 12 to 2 PM at Stradling Funeral Home, 201 Church Avenue, Ephrata, followed by a graveside service at 2:15 PM at Cedar Hill Cemetery, 531 N. State Street, Ephrata.
