Obituary for Michael Adams
Michael E. Adams, 66, of Akron, passed away on Friday, December 1, 2023, at his home.
He was born in Ephrata, son of the late Carl M. and Joan L. (Ruffner) Adams.
Michael loved the outdoors, wildlife, and going to the mountains. He was an avid bowler and secretary of his league. He also enjoyed collecting coins.
Michael worked for Kemps Foods Lancaster for 27 years until their closing and then at Griffin Greenhouse Supply Co. until his retirement.
He is survived by a son, Brandon M., husband of Brianne A. Adams of Elizabethtown; 3 grandchildren, Kyra, Kolton, and Keeli; sister, Donna M. VanScyoc, brother, Barry, husband of Jean Ruffner, niece, Katie VanScyoc, fiancé of Ashley McNulty, nephew, Corey VanScyoc, long-time family friend, Wendy Gehr, and Brandon's sister, Natalie, wife of Michael Colletti, and their children Sophia and Vincent.
A viewing will be held on Thursday, December 7, 2023, from 1 to 2 PM at the Stradling Funeral Home, 30 North Ninth Street, Akron. Funeral services will follow at 2 PM.
Interment will take place in the Cedar Hill Cemetery.
