Obituary for Luis Carlos Bedoya
Luis Carlos Bedoya, 70, died peacefully on Monday, August 29th, 2022, in Ephrata, PA, after a
courageous battle with cancer.
He was born on January 13th, 1952, and raised in Medellin, Colombia along with his ten siblings.
In 1977, Luis moved to the United States and lived in New Jersey before residing in PA since
1995. He worked very hard his whole life until he retired in 2015 from Quality Custom Cabinets
in New Holland.
Luis enjoyed soccer and growing vegetables in his garden. Most of all, he loved spending time
with his seven grandchildren, Daniela, Melany, Lucas, Sebastian, Marcus, Simon, Helena, and
his bonus furry grandkid Onyx. They were his greatest joys in life.
Luis was a kind man who was loved by all that knew him. He will be greatly missed. He is
survived by his wife of 49 years, Maria Rosalba, sons Jobany and Christian, daughter Jessenia,
and sisters Cenelia, Leticia, Libia, and Ines.
Our family would like to express our sincere gratitude and appreciation to the Wellspan Ephrata
Community Hospital, Wellspan Ephrata Cancer Center, and the countless nurses and staff
members who cared for Luis like family. We thank you for being there throughout his journey.
A public viewing will be held on Saturday, September 3, 2022, from 9:00 to 10:30 AM at Stradling Funeral Home, 201 Church Avenue, Ephrata. A Mass of Christian Burial celebration will be held on Saturday, September 3, 2022, 11:00 AM at the Our Mother of Perpetual Help, 320 Church Avenue, Ephrata, with Fr. Kevin Moley C.Ss.R as celebrant. Final commendation and farewell will be private.
