Kirt A. Smith, 54, of Stevens, passed away on Tuesday, February 4, 2020, at WellSpan Ephrata Community Hospital, surrounded by the love of his family.

He was born in Ephrata to the late C. Robert Smith and Joyce L. (McEllhenney, Smith), wife of Clifford Brown and was the husband of Denise A. (Petersheim) Smith.

Kirt was a self-employed contractor, who loved spending time with his grandchildren. He enjoyed fishing, going to the cabin in Potter County and spending time with friends.

In addition to his wife and mother, Kirt is survived by a daughter, Julie A., wife of Rosario Margaglio of Jamestown, NY; a son, Brian K., husband of Stephanie Smith of Stevens; seven grandchildren, Jordan, Jocelyn, Francesco, Gaetano, Hannah, Isabella and Emma; a sister, Dawn Connor, companion of Steve Forrey and a brother, Robert, husband of Diane Smith. He was loved as a grandfather by Jameson and Olivia. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family, as he requested.
