Obituary for Kathy L. Mentzer
Kathy L. Mentzer, 59, of Akron, passed away on Tuesday, February 20, 2024, at her residence.
She was born in Lancaster to the late Mahlon “Pete” and Ruth (Fink) Mentzer.
Kathy was self-employed at her own cleaning business.
Kathy is survived by three sisters, Melodie Esque, Susan, wife of James Houser and Cindy, wife of Larry Frey, Jr.; five nephews, James Kuykendall, fiancé of Kasha Morales Stull, Cody, husband of Kylee Houser, Larry, husband of Mollie Frey III, Brandon Frey, fiancé of Molly Snearowski, Kyle, husband of Jazmin Houser; two nieces, Jessica, wife of Jeremiah Keckler, Alicia Lawrence, and her puppy, Snoopy; five great-nieces and three great-nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers-in-law, Bernard Esque and Allen Kuykendall.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, March 2, 2024, from 10 to 11 AM at Stradling Funeral Home, 201 Church Avenue, Ephrata, followed by a memorial service at 11 AM, with Pastor Ryan Burkholder officiating. Inurnment will be private in Fairview Cemetery.
