Obituary for Katharine E. DePaul
Katharine E. DePaul, 96, of Denver, passed away on Friday, January 5, 2024, at Abbeyville Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Lancaster.
She was born in Reading, the daughter of the late Arthur and Esther (Stahl) Kase.
Katharine worked as a registered nurse for the Coatesville VA Hospital, the Coatesville Hospital and the Denver Nursing Home. She was a graduate of Reading Central Catholic High School and the St. Joseph School of Nursing in Reading.
Katharine was involved in many community organizations including Girl Scouts, the Woman’s Club of Ephrata and the American Red Cross.
Katharine is survived by 2 children, Vincent G. DePaul, husband of Carol of Denver, Kathleen M., wife of John Zwierzyna of Mechanicsburg; 6 grandchildren, Vincent (Denise) of Tampa FL, Lauren (Stephen) of Reamstown, Caitlin of Denver, Stephen of Palm Springs CA, David of Mechanicsburg and Andrew of Mechanicsburg; and 3 great-grandchildren, Morgan, Isabelle and Matthew of Reamstown. She was preceded in death by her son, Michael and her brothers Art Kase and Jimmy Stahl.
