Obituary for Joanne R. Getz
Joanne R. Getz, 86, of Ephrata, passed away on December 11, 2022.
She was born in Warwick Township, Lancaster County on February 13, 1936 to the late Clayton and Alma (Garman) Webber.
In earlier years she worked at Eby Shoe Corp., also known as Fleet-Air Corp., and for Walter W. Moyer Co. (Gerber Products). Prior to her retirement, she worked in hospitality. She enjoyed long walks, crossword puzzles, watching old movies, and listening to The Shepherd's Chapel.
Surviving are her 2 children, daughter, Teresa, wife of Jay Yoder of Stevens, and son, Troy Getz of Ephrata; one grandchild, Daniel Hershey.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Timothy Getz; sister, Joyce Stoltzfus, and her 2 brothers, Foster and Robert Webber.
At Joanne's request there will be no services.
The family would like to express their appreciation to the Gardens at Stevens, and Caring Hospice Services of Lancaster for the care given to Joanne.
