Obituary for Joan E. Bair (Macredes)
Joan Elizabeth (Macredes) Bair, 85, of Akron, passed away on Monday, April 17, 2023, at WellSpan Ephrata Community Hospital.
She was born in Ephrata to the late James John and Anna (Brown) Macredes and was the wife of the late Busey R. Bair.
Joan was a sewing machine operator spending most of her career in the textile industry. She loved living life and brought joy and laughter to each life she touched.
Joan is survived by eleven children, Stephen D., husband of Billie Fay Bair, Theodore A., husband of Deborah Bair, B. Randall, husband of Amy Van Lenten Bair, Jeffrey C. Bair, Joni L., wife of Joe Simmons, Mark D., husband of Joy Bair, Marcia A. Bair, Tami L. Bair, David C. Bair, Janine L. Hecker, Eric M. husband of Joan Bair; 28 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren, and a sister, Tycee Enos.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two sons, Ricky Lynn and Donald E. Bair, and one grandson, Jeremy.
Interment will take place in the Plainfield Union Cemetery.
