Obituary for Jeffrey Scott Shirk

Jeffrey "Shirky" Scott Shirk, 51, of Bethlehem, passed away unexpectedly on December 2, 2022.

He was born in Lancaster to Ruth Ann (Weber) Shirk and the late John Shirk and was the husband of Kimberly A. (Thomas) Shirk.

Jeff was a lifelong truck driver who took great pride in his work. His contagious laugh and smile warmed the hearts of many. Jeff touched the lives of people from all over the country. He spoke often about his “brothers” that kept him going as he rolled down the road. He was a loving husband, a gentle spirit, and a wonderful man. For that, he will be missed dearly.

In addition to his wife and mother, Jeff is survived by two daughters, Rachael P. Hildenbrandt, BrookeLynn S. Shirk; a brother, Robert Dwayne Shirk of Titusville; a sister, Carole Lynn, wife of Michael Herrington of New Holland, as well as, five nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 10th, 2022, at 1:00 PM, at Mt. Zion Baptist Church, 3 Denver Road, Denver, with Pastor Keith Sweitzer officiating. Family will gather with friends following the service. Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Stradling Funeral Homes, PO Box 92, Ephrata, 17522, to help with funeral expenses.
