Obituary for Jean E. Jones
Jean E. Jones, 69, of Ephrata, passed away on Monday April 17, 2023, at Moravian Manor, Lititz, PA.
She was born in Northampton Co., PA on November 15, 1953 and was adopted by the late William F. and Anna (Saltsman) Jones.
A graduate of Cocalico High School, Class of 1971, she then attended McCann School of Business in Reading. Jean was known
as "Jeannie of Many Trades" as she enjoyed working temp jobs; one of them being a nursing assistant. More recently, she worked as a columnist for the Ephrata Review and Lititz Record from 1993 to March of 2022.
She was a cat lover, especially her longtime companion, "Yuki". Her favorite flowers were yellow mums, as was yellow her favorite color.
Jean is survived by many cousins and friends. And we all appreciate the great care Jean was given at Moravian Manor by all their caring staff.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, July 22, 2023 at 11 AM at the Mellingers Lutheran Church, 80 Gockley Rd.,
Stevens, PA 17578, with Pastor Tim Craven officiating. Interment will take place in the Mellingers Union Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Jean's memory may be made to the Furever Home Adoption Center, Inc. 5984 Main Street East Petersburg, PA 17520 or to Mellingers Lutheran Church at the above address.
