Evelyn and family,
I am sending sincere condolences to you and your family. I was so sorry to hear of Jakes passing. I have good memories of him, always fun and happy, you two together were a sweet couple. I’m sure he’s missed more then words can ever say. You have come to my mind often since his passing, and it reminds me to pray for you. He’s celebrating, I’m sure, but for you whom he left behind, it’s difficult, I’m sure. Hopefully you can be rejoicing, thinking of his joy in seeing and being with his creator! Thankfully we can have peace, knowing our loved ones, we will meet again.
Love and prayers,
Lois Ann(Garman)Hershey

I’m from Lancaster as well but I first met Jake over here in Indonesia. What a phenomenal team Jake & Evelyn made- Evelyn in charge of all the guesthouse affairs and Jake in charge of the construction project. They left the comforts of home to come serve in hot & humid Indonesia, and at their age (which at the time seemed “older” to me but now that I’m over 40 I realize they were still quite young!) wow, I remember thinking I hope I’m as energetic and full of life when I’m that age.
Jake was so big-hearted, generous, kind, full of good humor, serious about the Lord’s work, and above all a Living testimony of the Love of a Savior who he obeyed and followed, literally to the ends of the earth. It was such a privilege for Margon and myself to know him as a friend and brother in Christ. He gave us some very sweet memories which we and our children will always treasure, especially the buggy ride and the Christmas caroling, just to name a few.
We grieve with Evelyn and the family for this great loss..our prayers are with you all. But praise be to our God that we have a Living Hope and without a doubt we will one day meet Jake again, in that fair land where “every tear is wiped away”. ~Margon & Kim Saragih family

My sympathies to Jacob King's family. He was always a guy I liked to talk with at the Keystone Show and Ag Progress Days. His energy, love of life, people and business was an encouragement and joy to me. May your memories help the sadness in the days and weeks ahead. A life well lived.

Evelyn and family, our love and prayers are with you. There are many memories we have of your family. One of our first memories was when Joe had a gallbladder attach in Pennsylvania a day before the CAM Open House.Jake and Pastor Earl Martin had put their compassion in shoe leather and took care of the need.To this day we remember that golden deed .
May the Lord be near in the next few days.
We would be there if we could.
