Obituary for Gloria (Gabron) Sweigart (Gabron)
Gloria (Gabron) Sweigart, 89, of Lititz, formerly of Akron, passed away on Sunday, March 31, 2019, at United Zion Retirement Community.
She was born in Easton to the late Albert and Gertrude (Miller) Gabron and was the wife of the late Richard W. Sweigart who passed away in 2016.
She was a member of Middle Creek Church of the Brethren.
Gloria worked for RCA for 56 years. She enjoyed crocheting, spending time with her family and grandchildren, and traveling with her husband on bus trips.
Gloria is survived by a son, Richard W. Sweigart, Jr. of Rothsville; a daughter, Brenda, wife of Jerry Burkholder of Lebanon; two grandchildren, Brandon, husband of Danelle Burkholder of Richland, Brett, husband of Andrea Burkholder of Pittsburgh and four great-grandchildren, Hunter, Brynn, Makenna and Lydia.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Kenneth Gabron and two sisters, Evelyn Yuninger and Alberta John.
The family would like to thank the care givers at the United Zion Home for their special care.
A viewing will be held on Thursday, April 4, 2019, from 10 to 11 AM at the Middle Creek Church of the Brethren, 351 Middle Creek Church Road, Lititz, followed by funeral services at 11:00 AM with Pastor John Hess officiating. Interment will take place in the adjoining church cemetery.
