Obituary for Eugene L. Steffey
Eugene L. Steffey, 77, of Mountville, passed away on Friday, March 29, 2019, at home.
He was born in South Heidelburg Twp. to the late Harry and Elsie (Ruth) Steffey and was the husband of Tina (Moyer) Steffey with whom he shared 30 years of marriage.
He was a member of Ephrata Area Church of Christ.
Eugene was a deli and meat manager for Weaver Markets for over 30 years. He enjoyed baseball, watching the Phillies and coaching the Reinholds VFW team. He also enjoyed working in the yard, spending time with family and friends, and playing games.
In addition to his wife, Eugene is survived by two daughters, Sherry Musser of Lancaster, Amy, wife of Andrew Srock of Mountville; a son, Matthew, husband of Amanda (Shearer) Steffey of Mountville; 2 grandchildren; 1 great-grandson and a brother, Richard Steffey.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 5 siblings, Russell Steffey, Larry Steffey, Grace Troutman, Peggy Steffey and Melrose Kunkle.
A viewing will be held on Monday, April 1, 2019 from 6 to 8 PM, at the Roseboro Stradling Funeral Home, 533 Walnut Street, Denver, followed funeral services at 8:00 PM with Pastor Joe Hyatt officiating. Interment will be private in the Pleasant View Cemetery.
