Obituary for Eugene W. Brossman
Eugene W. Brossman, 90, of Ephrata, passed away on Sunday, March 12, 2023, at home.
He was born in Brooklyn, NY, to the late Eugene W. and Charlotte "Polly" (Weaver) Brossman and was the husband of Joanne A. (Leahy) Brossman with whom he shared 71 years of marriage.
He was a member of Akron Grace E.C. Church and a lifetime member of Akron Lions Club.
Eugene was a graduate of Ephrata High School. He previously worked for Ephrata Diamond Spring Water Company and later was a self-employed parking lot sealer and striper. He enjoyed deep sea fishing, going to the shore, and collecting hats.
In addition to his wife, Eugene is survived by four children, Patricia Brossman, Barbara Derrer, Stevan, husband of Marla Brossman, Terry, husband of Wendy Brossman; 11 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren, and a brother, Bruce, husband of Janice Brossman.
A viewing will be held on Thursday, March 16, 2023, from 10 to 11 AM at Stradling Funeral Homes, 30 N. Ninth Street, Akron, followed by a memorial service 11:00 AM, with Rev. Dr. Michael Brossman officiating. Inurnment will take place in Bergstrasse Lutheran Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Eugene's memory may be made to ProMedica Hospice, 4505 Falls of Neuse Road, Raleigh, NC 27609, and Akron Lions Club, P.O. Box 64, Akron, PA 17501.
