Emma Louise “Snookie” Dubbs, 90, of Ephrata, passed away on Wednesday, November 30, 2022, at Keystone Villa.
She was born in Pine Grove to the late Milton Charles and Florence Eva (Krammes) Roeder and was the wife of the late Donald D. Dubbs who passed away in 2018.
She was a member of Bethany UCC Church, Ephrata.
Emma was a hairstylist for 36 years, working for Reeds department store and then Whitner’s department store salon before opening her own shop in 1953. She also worked in the finance department for Indiantown Gap. She was a member of the Eastern Star Howell Chapter #372 O.E.S. She enjoyed sports and reading
Emma is survived by a son, Daniel D., husband of Molly (Kelly) Dubbs of Schuylkill Haven; a daughter-in-law, Susan Dubbs of Ephrata; four grandchildren; Mandy (Kevin) Derfler of Robesonia, Derek (Diana) Dubbs of Allentown, NJ, Kaitlin Marks-Dubbs (Austin Rochford) of East Norriton, Karrison Dubbs of Schuylkill Haven; four great-grandchildren, Dominic and Dylan Dubbs, and Madison and Avery Derfler.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a son, David Donald Dubbs; a brother, Floyd, husband of Claire (Haldeman) Roeder of Pine Grove, and a sister, Shirley Roeder of Pine Grove.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 28, 2022, from 9:30 to 10:00 AM at Bethany United Church of Christ, 140 E. Main Street, Ephrata, followed by a memorial service at 10:00 AM. Inurnment will be private in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.
