Obituary for Earl K. Enck
Earl K. Enck, 89, of Stevens, passed away on Saturday, August 31, 2019, at Maple Farm, Akron.
He was born in Lancaster County to the late Alvin and Mary S. (Kurtz) Enck and was the husband of the late Doris Eileen (Groff) Enck who passed away in 2015.
Earl married his wife of 61 years, on horseback. He and Doris had no children but cared for dozens of cats and many horses over their years of marriage. They also fox hunted for many years. As a teen, he worked on a farm, drove a horse-drawn wagon, for Elizabeth Tree Farms, for customers who were getting their Christmas trees. He was a lifetime member of the Friendly Horseman's Club, Denver and was a member of the Schoeneck Lions Club, for 26 years, where he also served as president.
Earl worked for Kalas Manufacturing for many years and retired as a Supervisor in Plant 2.
Services will be private in the Steinmetz Cemetery.
