Obituary for Donald E. Althouse
Donald E. Althouse, 69, of Stevens, passed away on Tuesday, April 2, 2019, at Lancaster General Hospital.
He was born in Ephrata to the late Kenneth and Doris (Good) Althouse, and was the husband of the late Sharon Althouse, with whom he shared 21 years of marriage before her passing in 1993.
Donald grew up in Denver the oldest of nine siblings; Larry, David, Ronald, Kenneth, Jeffrey, John, Cindy (Gehman), and Michael. Donald worked at High Concrete for over 25 years. He loved his family, and enjoyed hunting, fishing and trips to Tioga County.
Donald is survived by two sons; Jesse Althouse, husband of Lenette Althouse; Travis Althouse; a daughter; Jenny Althouse; and eight grandchildren.
In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Jeffrey Althouse.
A viewing will be held on Monday, April 8, 2019, from 10 to 11 am at the Roseboro Stradling Funeral Home, 533 Walnut Street, Denver. Funeral services will follow at 11 am, with Pastor Russ Eberly officiating. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family, in the Fairview Cemetery Annex.
