Obituary for Daniel Matos
Daniel Matos, 50, of Ephrata, passed away on Sunday, April 5, 2020, at Reading Hospital- Tower Health.
He was born in Ephrata to Candelario and Dominga (Matos) Matos and was the husband of Monica (SanMartin) Matos.
Daniel attended Grace Church, Ephrata. He was a truck driver for System Freight and was a member of the Teamster Local Union #570. Daniel was a huge Philadelphia sports fan, he loved music, playing the piano, loved a Big Mac, making people laugh and especially adored his four granddaughters. He was kind and welcoming to all those he encountered and never met a stranger.
In addition to his wife and parents, Daniel is survived by three children, Sayira, wife of Anthony Brubaker of Landisville, Shaheen, wife of Nicholas Frigiola of Brookhaven, Danny Matos of Elizabethtown; four granddaughters, Neriah, Adelina, Autumn and Briella; four siblings, Luisa, wife of Jose Santiago, Fermin, husband of Diana Matos, Pablo Matos, companion of Carmen Marrero and Minga, wife of Esteban A. Pedraza Jr.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Candelaro Matos, Jr.
Services will be private at the convenience of the family.
