Obituary for Cheryl A. Shreiner (Sweigart)
Cheryl A. Shreiner, 73, of Bird In Hand, passed away on Monday, May 20, 2019, at Lancaster General Hospital, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born in Lancaster to the late Gordon B. and Charlotte E. (Moore) Sweigart and was the wife of Robert Foster Shreiner with whom she shared 54 years of marriage.
Cheryl was a homemaker and office manager for BandG Marketing for many years. In her early years, she enjoyed crafting, cross stitch and quilling. She was most at peace at the beach in Cape May where she spent every summer for the last 50 plus years. She was an avid cheerleader for the Dr. Bob Pro Hillclimb race team created by her and her husband, Dr. Bob. She loved her family more than anything and made every holiday so special. She also enjoyed collecting Boyds Bears.
In addition to her husband, Cheryl is survived by a son, Randall Shreiner of Atlanta, GA; a daughter, Lorie, wife of George Longabaugh of Brownstown; four grandchildren, Robby, Sari, Gillian and Preston; a great-grandson, Kayson, the light of her life, and a brother, Jeff Sweigart.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Alecia Nicole.
A viewing will be held on Saturday, May 25, 2019, from 10 to 11 AM at the Stradling Funeral Home, 201 Church Avenue, Ephrata, followed by funeral services at 11:00 AM. Interment will take place in the East Petersburg Mennonite Cemetery.
