Obituary for Betty Jane Kindt
Betty Jane Kindt, 90, of Reinholds, passed away on Wednesday, November 15, 2023, at her home.
She was born in Reading daughter of the late Paul and Mabel (Ulrich) Buchter and was the wife of the late Russell R. Kindt who passed away in 2002.
Betty enjoyed flowers, gardening, puzzles, crosswords, and baking. She had a great sense of humor and loved spending time with her family, especially at holiday dinners.
She worked for Bollman Hat Factory for 30 plus years.
Betty is survived by a daughter, Beverly, wife of Michael Boettlin; 2 grandchildren, Janina Weik-Leid, wife of Steve Leid, and Jason Weik, husband of Becky; 2 step-grandchildren, Timothy Boettlin, husband of Cassie, and Erica Boettlin; 2 great-grandchildren, Jesse Straka and Autumn Martin; 4 step-great-grandchildren, Ford, Summer, Rex, and Westen; 3 sisters, Faye Moyer, Katherine Nonnemacher, and Alberta Fisher.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Rick Kindt, and a sister, Shirley Strunk.
A viewing will be held on Wednesday, November 22, 2023, from 9:30 am to 10:30 am at the Roseboro Stradling Funeral Home, 533 Walnut St., Denver. A Celebration of Her Life will follow at 10:30 am, with Pastor Craig Frazier officiating. Interment will take place in the Pleasant View Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Betty's memory may be made to Hospice and Community Care, P.O. Box 4125, Lancaster, PA 17604.
