Obituary for Arnold Lee Demmy

Arnold Lee Demmy, 75, of Ephrata, passed away on Thursday, June 6, 2019, at Hospice and Community Care, Mount Joy.

He was born in Clay Twp. to the late Woodrow and Anna (Diem) Demmy and was the husband of Donna K. (Frankenfield) Demmy with whom he would have celebrated 42 years of marriage in September.

Arnold worked in baler equipment manufacturing. He was a veteran of the US Marine Corp., serving during the Vietnam War era. He enjoyed keeping busy with bus trips, visiting the beach and attending his grandchildren's sporting events. Arnold was an avid fan of the Philadelphia Eagles, Phillies and Flyers. He was also a former volunteer fire policemen for Lincoln Fire. Co..

In addition to his wife, Arnold is survived by three children, Dana Demmy, Tammy, wife of Perry Saunders, Troy, husband of Jill Mundorff; nine grandchildren; a great-grandchild and four nieces.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Earl H. Demmy.

A viewing will be held on Tuesday, June 11, 2019, from 10 to 11 AM at the Stradling Funeral Home, 201 Church Avenue, Ephrata, followed by funeral services at 11:00 AM with Pastor Walt Carter officiating. Interment will take place in the Bergstrasse Lutheran Cemetery with military honors accorded by the Red Rose Veteran Honor Guard..
