Dorothy M. Nye, 95, of Denver, passed away on Saturday, April 16, 2016, at Mt. Hope Nazarene Retirement Community.

She was born in Reading to the late Charles and Mamie (Anderson) Seifrit and was the wife of the late Arthur L. Nye who passed away April 6, 1986.

Officially retiring in 1984, she enjoyed crocheting, visits from her family, playing bingo and family poker games.

Dorothy is survived by 4 children, Dolores J., wife of Dale E. Oberly of Ephrata, Gerald L.., husband of Janet G. (Klaus) Nye of Stevens, Sandy M. Nye, companion of Clare Scianna of Delaware, Cindy A., wife of Mark A. Schweitzer of Adamstown; 10 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandson; 3 siblings, Betty Klopp of Leesport, Shirley Groff of Shoemakersville, and Charles, husband of Scarlett Seifrit of Bernville.

In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by 3 siblings, Ella Gicker, Walter Seifrit and Catherine Burkey.

A viewing will be held on Thursday, April 21, 2016, from 10 to 11 am at the Roseboro Stradling Funeral Home, 533 Walnut Street, Denver. Funeral services will follow at 11 am, with Pastor William Hoch officiating. Interment will take place in the Pleasant View Cemetery.
