Obituary for Arlene R. Schlicher

Arlene Redcay (Dissinger) Schlicher, 78, of Lititz went to be with the Lord on Thursday, September 18, 2014 at Hospice and Community Care, Mt. Joy.

Born January 15, 1936 in Lititz to the late Ira and Alverta (Redcay) Dissinger. She was raised by her grandparents the late Harris Bucks and Ella Dissinger. Arlene was the wife of Richard Schlicher for 39 years.

Arlene was a member of the Ephrata Church of the Nazarene. She was also a member of the Friend’s Lititz Library and made crochet afghans for Project Linus. She enjoyed crafts, crocheting, making cards and reading.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Linda (Mastle) Smith, wife of artist Andy Smith of Lititz; 3 sons, Clark Mastle of South Carolina, Karl Mastle, husband of Lisa Mastle of Hopeland and James Mastle of Newport News, VA. Arlene was blessed with 7 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; 3 siblings, Rose Brenner of Lancaster, Diane Hughes of Hellem and the late Gladys Brosey.
Services will be private at the convenience of the family.
