Condolence: My son Jonny is a classmate of Hailey since Kindergarten which is how we met as well as working at your vets office. It was always wonderful running into you there and at school events. Condolence: This hurts writing this but this isn't about me, It's about Derrek. The last time I saw Derrek was at a 12 step mtg. I was so happy to see him there. We hugged and caught up on what was going on in each other's lives since the last time we saw each other. The feeling you get when someone like Derrek turns his life around, even if only for that moment, is indescribable. It is a language of the heart that you'd have to experience to understand. After that meeting Derrek continued to occasionally text me to see how things were going. I was not in a good spot but Derrek gave me hope that I too am worth recovery. His selflessness shown though each time he reached out to me. I appreciate that and want his daughter to know what a caring, selfless, hard working (he worked a couple jobs for me while i was in work release), loving man who showed me care and concern that isn't shown enough by others these days. You will be missed brother. Thank you for the lasting impression you've left on my heart. Rest easy brother!!
