Obituary for Sgt. Clayton Mitchell "Clay" Weidman

Sgt. Clayton Mitchell "Clay" Weidman, 30, of Denver, passed away on Thursday, February 15, 2018, at home.

He was born in Gordonville to Phillip Lee and Kimberly Ann (Stranahan) Weidman of Mohnton.

Clay was a member of Cocalico Community Church in Reinholds. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with his sons and family.

He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corp. He worked as a pipe layer for Wiker Excavating in Lancaster.

In addition to his parents, Clay is survived by 2 sons, Grayson and Sawyer Weidman at home, 2 brothers, Phillip D., husband of Nicole (Ranck) Weidman of Reinholds, and Brandon L., husband of Cara (Miller) Weidman of Denver; a sister, Courtney A. Weidman at home, and a niece, Bailey Weidman.

A viewing will be held on Tuesday, February 20, 2018, from 10 to 11 am at the Cocalico Community Church, 1200 W. Swartzville Rd., Reinholds. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 am, with Pastor Mike Pierce officiating. Interment will take place in the Brickerville Cemetery.
Military honors will be accorded by the Red Rose and Vet 21 Salute Honor Guards.
