Obituary for Rabieth "Tootie" McEllhenney

Rabieth “Tootie” McEllhenney, 95, formerly of Ephrata, passed away on Wednesday, September 20, 2017, at The Gardens at Stevens Nursing Home.

She was born in Millway to the late Irvin and Lizzie (Haldeman) Showers and was the wife of the late Clayton McEllhenney.

Rabieth was a member of the Grace EC Church, Ephrata.

She is survived by a son, Darell C., husband of Mildred (Leed) McEllhenney of East Petersburg; 2 daughters, Sandra A., wife of Glenn Brandt of Palmyra, Brenda M., wife of the late Franklin Leed of Ephrata; 8 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.

In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by a daughter, Darlene Davidson; a brother, Vincent Showers; 4 sisters, Gladys Smith, Feyhilda Strohl, Dorothy Ryan and Violet Heil.

A viewing will be held on Saturday, September 23, 2017, from 1 to 2 pm, at the Stradling Funeral Home, 201 Church Avenue, Ephrata, followed by her funeral service at 2 pm, with Pastor Philip Walck officiating. Interment will take place in Mt. Zion Evangelical Cemetery.
