Sallie E. Zerbe Haldeman, 87, of Reamstown, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus, June 10, 2016. She would have celebrated her 88th birthday on June 25th.
She was born in Brecknock Township to the late Joseph and Edna (Kramer) Zerbe, and was the wife of the late Robert L. Haldeman, who passed away in 1996.
Sallie was a member of the Reamstown Church of God. She loved butterflies, gardening, sewing, and spending time with her granddaughters.
Previously, she had worked for Moyer’s and The Cinderella Knitting Mill, and had been a homemaker and school crossing guard for many years.
Sallie is survived by two sons, Kevin, husband of Brenda (Althouse) and Robert, husband of Beth (Seibert), both of Ephrata, five granddaughters: Jamie, April, Summer, Aubrey and Robin, brothers John and Clayton Zerbe and sisters Guyula Seifrit and Dorothy Anderson, as well as many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by nine brothers and sisters, Joseph, Ella, Chester, Leon, Luke, Paul, George, William, and Shirley.
A viewing will be held on Tuesday, June 14, 2016 from 9:00-11:00 at the Reamstown Church of God, 400 Pfautz Hill Road, Stevens, PA 17578. Funeral services will follow, with Pastor Arthur T. Karick officiating. Interment will take place in the Middle Creek Brethren Cemetery.
Memorial contributions in Sallie’s memory may be made to the Reamstown Church of God building fund.
