Obituary for Pauline Nissly Emsing

Pauline Nissly Emsing, 97, of York, formerly of Denver, passed away on Monday, June 6, 2016, at Senior Care on Market St., formerly Autumn House East, in York.

She was born in Denver to the late Ralph and Edna (Meckley) Nissly and was the wife of Donald Emsing who died in 2003.

She was a member of the Faith United Evangelical Lutheran Church in Denver. She enjoyed playing cards, knitting, and was an avid Phillies fan.

Pauline was a graduate of Denver High School. In the earlier years, Pauline worked as a packer for F and M Hat Co. of Denver, and was also a homemaker.

Pauline is survived by a son, James, husband of Joan (Binner) Emsing of York; 2 granddaughters, Shari Smith of West Chester, and Julie Mann of Steelstown; 2 great-granddaughters, Katelyn and Brittany Smith.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Louise Nissly.

A viewing will be held on Friday, June 10, 2016, from 10 to 11 am at the Roseboro Stradling Funeral Home, 533 Walnut Street, Denver. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 am, with Pastor Joseph Veres officiating. Interment will take place in the Fairview Cemetery.
