Obituary for Amanda M. Stauffer

Amanda M. Stauffer, 87, of Lititz, entered into rest on Wednesday, May 6, 2015, at Luther Acres, Lititz.

She was born in West Earl Township, daughter of the late Daniel B. and Amanda (Landis) Martin. She was the former wife of the late Ivan Stauffer of Ephrata.

Amanda was always very active and enjoyed sewing and gardening. She worked at various factories including Carters in Leola as well as helping with organic farming at home. She was a charter member of Grace Fellowship Church, Ephrata and over the years was involved on the mission's committee, ladies groups and the Awana program.

She is survived by her children, Janice M. Stauffer of Lititz, James, husband of Janine (Hackman) Stauffer of Ephrata, Joyce M. Stauffer of Akron; a granddaughter, Jolyn (Stauffer), wife of Travis Wolf of Akron; a great grandson, Ethan Wolf; a sister, Eva,wife of the late John Zimmerman and a brother, Willis, husband of Esther W. Martin.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by 5 brothers, Sam, Clarence, Landis, Walter, Lloyd; 2 sisters, Katie and Edna.

A viewing will be held on Saturday, May 9, from 1 to 2 pm, at the Grace Fellowship Church, 822 Pointview Ave., Ephrata, followed by her funeral service at 2 pm, with Pastor Frank Rice officiating. Interment will take place in the Metzler Mennonite Cemetery.
